Ed nukes his ukes
Punk Ukulele? Sounds like peanut butter and ketchup right, two mixed doesn't sound good. Well think again, Mr. Ed White ladies and gentlemen. From doing Ramones covers from I Wanna Be Sedated to KKK Took My Baby Away he blows up the stage at the Cantab lounge in Boston. I met Ed on Artist Row this summer while he did a gig at the store me and my fiance Virginia had with another couple, Sara and Dan. Sara knew Ed from her college days but haven't seen him in years. They corresponded and a couple of weeks later Ed was at Artist Row with his trusty uke setting up. I talked to him at first for a while and was blown away at how nice of a guy he was, then he started playing. Punk played on a ukulele sounds amazing!! Not only does Ed play covers of punk songs but he writes his own as well. My favorite having to be I Thought Your Boyfriend Was A Lesbian or The Bronco Rides again (Tribute to the hatred of OJ). With the energy of a young man and the wit of a old man Ed plows through songs like a hurricane. Everyone should listen to the great Ed White, just like the lucky crowds at the famous Cantab!! Uke till ya puke Ed!!
